Transforming Government since 2001
A programme to train Bahraini government employees in advanced project management has been launched by the e-Government Authority.

The first course was organised by EGA in co-operation with leading UK training provider, Learning Tree International, at the Central Informatics Organisation, Isa Town.

It was attended by 25 government officials, representing working groups from the ministries and government departments involved in the e-Government projects.

The course was conducted by LTI trainer Steve Power, offering an international certification in project management.

It was designed to enhance the skills of managers from the various government ministries and authorities involved in the E-Government project and enable them to address these challenges and solve problems quickly and competently.

It is an important part of the effort to ensure the success of the e-Government project, said EGA chief executive officer Mohammed Al Qaed.

"The course was part of the EGA's strategy of training government employees, and more such courses will be delivered in the future by other outstanding international trainers," he said.

The EGA launched its new portal address, in October this year.

The portal supports the provision of services offered to citizens, residents, businesses and visitors by the various ministries and government authorities in co-operation with the EGA.

Every government ministry and authority has designated a special team to operate and launch its electronic services through the e-Government portal.
