Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa would launch the programme at Mysore while Tumkur District Incharge Minister Shobha Kharandlje would launch it at the town the same day, he said.
A total 450 work stations would be set up in Mysore and 400 at Tumkur to help people enrol themselves to obtain UID number, he said. The entire process is expected to be completed by December 2010, he said.
"The process will commence in other parts of the state next year and most of it is expected to be completed by December 2011," he said. Around 47 organisations are involved in the process
Property worth Rs 1.16 cr seized, 22 arrested
Cracking various cases of housebreaks and thefts, city police today arrested 25 persons and seized property worth Rs 1.16 crore including 14 four wheelers, 18 two-wheelers, Rs 1.4 lakh cash and four live cartridges.
"Solving 79 cases of housebreak and theft, the South-West Division has succeeded in nabbing 25 accused and recovered property worth Rs 1.16 crore in all" City Police Commissioner Shankar Biari told reporters here.
Important among the cases was the arrest of three accused by the Adugodi police and recovery of valuables including 61 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 33 lakh from them, he said. In another case, Parappana Agrahara police nabbed three persons and seized valuables worth Rs 31.25 lakh from them
