Qatar e-Government Portal Hukoomi was ranked first in web accessibility for Assistive Technology Center (Mada) in April, out of 124 entities. The portal currently includes more than 1400 services, with more than 650 online services that can be completed online.

Tareq Al Emadi, Qatar e-Government Portal Hukoomi Department Manager, said: “We would like to thank Mada on the great, fruitful cooperation between us, and we are looking forward to the continuation of joint efforts, for the purpose of empowering persons with disabilities and enabling them to easily access the digital content.”

Al Emadi added, “We are very pleased with this special achievement that reflects Hukoomi’s great efforts in offering a rich content of services and information that is easily accessible by all audiences.

The portal currently includes more than 1400 services, with more than 650 online services that can be completed online by individuals, visitors, businesses, and government entities, such as health, education, business services, and much more”.

Al Emadi pointed out that Hukoomi portal has been going through various stages of development and enhancements, since its launch in 2008, by offering more services and information, until the launch of the current version that offers a unique user experience by enhancing the search feature functionalities and enabling persons with disabilities to use the portal.

Hukoomi for Persons with Disability portal has been launched, as an initiative from Mada Center, and in collaboration with Hukoomi portal, to connect persons with disability with their families, caregivers and service providers, and providing them with useful resources and topics.
