The Oyo State government has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National e-Government Strategies on the implementation of the e-Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) project.

Explaining the e-Oyosubeb initiative at the formal signing ceremony in Ibadan on Wednesday, the chairman of board, Dr. Soji Adejumo, said it was all about using information technology tools and techniques to empower SUBEB in the efficient and transparent management of all matters relating to primary schools and junior secondary schools.

He said the plan was to enhance education management information system towards provision of a comprehensive computerisation of teachers data, school census, pupils data and full internet driven school mapping available 24 hours daily and seven days a week.
