Construction on The Northern Ontario Broadband Expansion Project kicked off in the spring after a federal environmental assessment was approved in April.
Since then, despite setbacks caused by forest fires, over 270 kilometres of broadband cable has been laid in three separate parts of northwestern Ontario. Also, a regional First Nation construction company has been awarded a contract for a huge portion of the project.

New Brunswick's Department of Education has a dilemma.
It needs to cut costs, but it doesn't want to do so at the expense of what happens in the classroom, so it has launched a public consultation in a bid to gather ideas on how exactly to do that.

Rose, an infectious disease specialist, is among 240 doctors at The Ottawa Hospital who are the first in Ontario to be linked to provincewide databases that give them a more complete picture of a patient's health.

So the Telehealth idea seems like a long time coming. Sure that is more involved than simple video conferencing. There is special equipment, scheduling and security to deal with, but the benefits to this system are obvious and plenty.
