Jiading has been accelerating the construction of new infrastructure and improving its multi-dimensional intelligent transport system.
According to an evaluation of the development of the Shanghai Smart City last year, Jiading ranked third in the suburbs in terms of network construction, and its network security status ranked first in the city.
Jiading clarifies the first batch of 53 major projects with a total investment of around 71.95 billion yuan (US$10.29 billion).
The plan focuses on four aspects — networks, facilities, platforms and terminals. It puts forward 15 key tasks to expand effective investment and stimulate economic development.
The new network construction plan will speed up the construction of 5G infrastructure and promote innovative applications. By 2021, 3,000 5G base stations will be in operation.
Jiading will accelerate the development of the Industrial Internet and build more than 16 intelligent factories, unmanned production lines and workshops in 2022. The first batch of nine major projects are planned to be built in three years with an accumulated investment of 3.87 billion yuan.
The facilities plan will focus on a number of major scientific infrastructure such as the city’s project of silicon photonics. Jiading will build advanced industrial innovation infrastructure and strive for the introduction of the national intelligent vehicle innovation platform. Twenty-three major projects are planned to be built with an accumulated investment of 56.87 billion yuan.
The platforms plan will establish a high-performance big data and AI computing platform, build a number of intelligent industrial parks and set up a one-stop government affairs service platform and district-level big data resource platform. Seven major projects are planned to be built with an accumulated investment of 7.25 billion yuan.
The terminals plan will improve the one-stop management network and the urban transport platform network.
Several hydrogen refueling stations and the construction of regional open test road scenarios for driverless cars will be promoted. All roads in the district will be included in the scope of the test. The first 14 major projects are planned with an accumulated investment of 3.96 billion yuan.
