The drive is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad to provide assistance to Bahraini families affected by the pandemic and alleviate their financial burdens during this exceptional situation.

A new online service allowing people affected by Covid-19 to register through national platform Bahrain.bh has been launched.

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) launched the Corona Registration Service, in co-operation with the Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA).

The drive is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad to provide assistance to Bahraini families affected by the pandemic and alleviate their financial burdens during this exceptional situation.

The move also followed instructions from the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Adviser and RHF board of trustees chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, had directed the foundation to set up a committee to follow up the proceeds generated by the successful “Feena Khair” fundraiser.

People seeking more information and queries about the service can call the foundation daily between 8am and 2pm on 38104444 and 38284444.RHF secretary general and co-ordination committee chairman Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said that the applications would be studied in co-operation with competent authorities to ensure they meet the eligibility terms.

He described the Corona Registration Service as a qualitative project which was launched for the first time to enable those affected to register and benefit from Feena Khair proceeds.

“The scheme will benefit categories affected by the pandemic, including private school bus drivers, productive families and employees working in the hospitality sector,” said Dr Al Sayed.

People from other affected categories can also register through the online platform and apply for assistance, pending evidence of their eligibility.iGA chief executive Mohammed Al Qaed said that the launch of the e-service reflects keenness of the Crown Prince and Shaikh Nasser to provide material and moral support to help the affected people withstand the crisis.

He underlined iGA’s drive to use modern technologies to combat the pandemic and support national efforts led by the Crown Prince with the aim of urging people to comply with precautionary measures.
