Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed to complete the Bharatnet and rural wifi schemes in seven districts of the state in the first phase. Chairing a review meeting of the IT and e-governance department here, he said to ensure the people in the rural area get information about the schemes, policies and the programmes of the state, it is important that the Bharatnet and rural wifi programme is completed in Bokaro, Deoghar, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ramgrah, Ranchi and Sahibganj districts.

He said, schools, health care centers and anganwadis should also be provided internet connections while wifi should be provided in all district headquarters including Ranchi. Mr Das said, arrangements should be made so that people can register their complaints through SMS and Whattsapp on the Jansamwad Kendra. He said, in the smart phones to be distributed among the women of the sakhi mandals Bhim app and a app to felicitate downloading of the government related apps should be pre-installed. The Chief Minister said that in the first phase the information regarding progress and financial progress of the projects and schemes of the rural development, welfare, road construction and power be made available on the Chief Minister's dashboard. He also asked the officials to complete the work of establishment of Jharkhand Innovation Lab within a fixed time frame alongwith setting up of 24 cyber police stations and one forensic lab. Those present during the programme included revenue minister Amar Bauri, chief secretary Rajbala Verma, development commissioner Amit Khare, IT secretary Sunil Barnwal and other officials.
