Two Qatari websites have won top GCC e-Gov awards. The official websites of Qatar General Electricity and water Corporation (Kahramaa) and “Islamweb” won first places in two separate categories.

Kahramaa’s website got the first prize in the e-Service category for its e-billing service while Islamweb grabbed the first place in e-Content category.

In the e-content category Jeddah e-Portal (Saudi Arabia) came second and General Authority for Civil Aviation (UAE) won the third place. UAE received second prize for electricity e-billing and Bahrain got third place for its e-birth certificate service.

The award distribution took place at a special ceremony held in Muscat yesterday that marked the closing day of the first GCC e-Government Conference.
