Mamnoon Hussain calls for restructuring of public sector departments for better service delivery.
President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the federal and provincial governments to introduce e-governance to cut their expenditures and ensure early solution of people's problems.
Addressing a seminar on Accountability and Good Governance in Islamabad on Monday, he said e-governance will ensure transparency.
Taking exception to corruption, he said influential figures involved in corrupt practices deserve exemplary punishment.
The president called for restructuring of public sector departments for better service delivery.
Earlier, in his remarks, Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said latest technology should be used to improve governance.
He said foreign investment has increased in the country due to bold decision of the government to eliminate terrorism.
He said the alleviation of poverty and unemployment will help address the issues of extremism and terrorism.
The Adviser on Foreign Affairs expressed the confidence that the effective policies adopted by the government will help achieve five to six percent growth rate.
