A large number of citizens sent proposals for capacity-building of government machinery and identifying the problems.
A spokesman of PITB here on Friday said that under the competition titled "e-Government Ideas Hunt", the people had been asked to choose one department of the government, identify a problem in its existing functionality and propose a viable solution.
The proposals were put before an eminent panel which included Dr Sarmad Hussain, Dr Shafay Shamail and Jehan Ara.
Asima Sadia was awarded first prize for her idea of making it obligatory for doctors to use an Electronic Health Record for making patient information accessible to healthcare professionals anywhere at any time and Ali Gibran for his idea of making a Learning Management System that trains and monitors over 300,000 teachers in Punjab for better instruction delivery and evaluation.
