Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Ana Brnabic has said that her ministry's priorities would be to introduce e-government services.

Tenders are already under way, she added, Tanjug is reporting.

"The obstacle that existed throughout all these years was that there was no clear distinction as to what electronic services were, but that is known now," Brnabic said at a presentation of the results of an AmCham survey.

Today, there are electronic databases and by the end of the year, the registries of births, deaths and marriages will also be in electronic form.

The next stage will be to enable citizens to handle public administration-related affairs using their mobile phones, she announced.

"That will further improve the lives of the citizens and the economy, which is our ultimate goal," Brnabic said.
