Transforming Government since 2001
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has teamed up with Robinsons Land Corporation to allow members and pensioners to apply for loans, check their records, or even update their accounts while in selected Robinsons Malls.

"Through our partnership with RLC, we bring our services much closer to our more than 1.7 million members and pensioners," President and General Manager Robert G. Vergara said.

The agreement covers the deployment of GSIS Wireless Automated Processing System (G-W@PS) kiosks at the Lingkod Pinoy Center located in Robinsons Malls.

The Center is a dedicated space in selected Robinsons Malls which carries satellite operations of important government agencies such as the Trade and Industry Department, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Land Registration Authority, and the Professional Regulation Commission.

With GWAPS, members can apply for various loans such as the P10,000 cash advance, Consolidated or Salary Loan, Policy Loan, and Pension loan online, a completely paperless environment. They can also view their GSIS records as well as activate their UMID-compliant eCards.

The kiosk–looking like an ATM machine with a touch screen monitor–combines different technologies such as radio frequency identification, biometrics, general packet radio service, short message service, and virtual private network.

GSIS will deploy 10 additional kiosks in key Robinsons Malls to include Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Metro East, Robinsons Novaliches Market, Robinsons Place Angeles, Robinsons Luisita, Robinsons Sta. Rosa Market, Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, Robinsons Bacolod, and Robinsons Cebu and Robinsons Place Manila.

The GSIS has almost completed the deployment of the targeted 500 additional G-W@PS kiosks across the country, rolling out 457 kiosks in big government agencies, city halls, selected municipalities, and provincial capitols as of November 8.

"Under a new leadership, we want to position the GSIS as the foremost service-oriented organization in the country- one that is responsive to the needs of our members and pensioners," Vergara said.
