n Information Technology Authority (ITA) specialist said Oman’s plan for e-government is being held back by lack of coordination among entities, at an IT forum recently.
Abdulaziz al Kharusi, director general of e-services was speaking at the IT Forum 2016, organised by International Data Corporation (IDC) in partnership with ITA and e.oman.
We are not yet at the mature level of e-transformation or e-services,” he said.
Kharusi called for greater cooperation from other government departments.
“This is not a role of one entity. This is a role of the nation, of the government of Oman completely. Otherwise, we will not be able to achieve integration,” he said. “There is more to be done in terms of aligning between government entities. That will require a lot of collaboration.”
