The E-Government Authority (EGA)'s CEO Mohammed Al-Qaed said that the Authority has completed training of about 5,000 elderly citizens on the use of e-government services. The Authority has also trained 13,000 citizens on how to deal with these services.

Al-Qaed told Al-Watan newspaper that the Authority organized training course in association with the Bahrain Retirees Society aimed to train them free of charge on how to deal with e-government services. 450 elderly citizens graduated in the first batch of trainees. The total number of elderly trainees who have completed their training reached 5,000.

Al-Qaed cited cooperation with Al-Manar Society to provide a laboratory as well as cooperation with some NGOs. He said that the price of laboratories varies adding that there are well-equipped laboratories in various locations in the public and private sectors.
