Dr. Mohammed Bin Shams pointed out that the officials in charge of the e-government support all the programmes and activities presented by (BIPA) aiming at developing public administration and training plans in the state’s ministries and institutions, in a way to ensure elevating the level of public administration and supporting social and economic development plans in the Kingdom.
Dr. Mohammed Bin Shams highlighted that organizing U.N.’s forum for public service 2013 (UNPSF) by the E-government Authority, which is hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa during the period from the current June 24 till 27, is considered an important event that is witnessed for the first time in Middle East and Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Mohammed Bin Shams stressed that the forum contributes in achieving the goals of the government in developing and elevating public administration and civil service. He also explained that the Institute of Public Administration will be a partner with e-government to ensure the success of U.N. forum, saying that the institute has signed a memorandum of understanding with the e-government to participate in the forum’s events through a special working session under the theme “Leadership of the Transformational Government,” which will discuss the important qualified leadership to develop the transitional government.
Bin Shams said that the institute will participate in the fifth workshop, which will be held within the forum’s events, and discuss the mechanisms of developing a suitable environment for government’s entrepreneurship, and economic development through innovation and e-government.
The CEO of the e-Government Authority, Mohammed Al Qaed said that the training programmes presented by (BIPA) for the public sector’s employees of all the government’s institutions, cope with the e-government’s strategy in Kingdom of Bahrain, which aims at defining a proper course for developing human devices in the government’s sectors. Those programmes also enhance administrative roles, the decision-making process, the application of the principle of social responsibility, improve customers’ relationships, and develop and improve the performance of the institution in general.
