The drones in Bhubaneswar will be controlled by the Commissionerate police and will put a check on the youth or the persons who create chaos in the capital. For this, a special campaign has been launched by the Commissionerate police.
The drones that will be deployed in the Capital city of Odisha will monitor the city from the skies, said reports on Saturday. The police will be able to guard the youths or persons who create anti-social activities and prevent a number of street crimes.
The Bhubaneswar Urban Police Department (UPD) has been provided with a high performing drones by Special Protection Group (SPG). These drones can fly up to 5 km in the sky. The drone can detect movement up to five kilometers.
These drones shall monitor large rallies, law and order situation and VIP movements. This drone has a night vision camera that takes high resolution pictures. The police hope that after the deployment of these drones crime can be prevented very easily and criminal activities are expected to be reduced considerably, said reports.
