Kohima Smart City organized an awareness campaign on citizen perception survey under Ease of Living Index’ 2019 for all the ward functionaries on February 7 where the inter-ward wall painting competition and signature campaign for a cleaner, greener and more liveable Kohima were also launched.

A press release from CEO of Kohima Smart City, Kovi Meyase informed that for the inter-ward wall painting competition, the painting should be a minimum of 8x15 feet and in a prominent location of the ward. The paintings should carry a catchy slogan and will be inspected by a group of judges around February 21 - 22. It also informed that certificates and token cash awards will be given to the best three wall paintings.

The signature campaign under the theme #MyCityMyPride with the pledge “I pledge to take responsibility to make Kohima a Green, Clean and more Livable City” was also launched in the programme. Banners for the signature campaign were handed over to all the 19 wards to organize the campaign at the ward level.

Hoardings and posters were given to all the wards for creating awareness on the importance of the participation of citizens.

CEO of Kohima Smart City, Kovi Meyase thanked the wards for all their efforts and co-operation towards making Kohima a better city. He stated that the opinions and views of the citizens are imperative in making practical policies for any city. He appealed to the wards to create wide publicity on the citizen perception survey which accounts for 30% weightage in the ongoing Ease of Living Assessment.
