Adding one more feather under e-Governance initiative and to go paperless in office activities, the West Kameng district under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Sonal Swaroop has launched Leave Management System on Saturday. The system developed by Er. P K Thungon, DIO, National Informatics Center, Bomdila has the facilities for the officer and officials to apply for casual and other leaves.
An officer or official can apply for all types of leaves. The controlling officer can view all the leave details and grant leave using the system, so that there is no mismanagement of leave. This will not only ponder faster leave process but also save paper and time spent in processing the leave of an employee.
As informed by Er. P K Thungon, DIO, the software will be presently operational only in Network established by NIC, Bomdila. The system is developed using PHP and MySql as backend database which is safe from outside network. The controlling officer may sanction or not sanction leave using this system. An employee need not apply leave using normal procedure and hence this will have lots of time and paper spent on it, he said.
