How can India make use of AIoT to create smarter cities?

A smart city employs an information and communication technology (ICT) framework to develop, implement, and promote development methods to address urban challenges and build a coordinated, technologically enabled, and sustainable infrastructure. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Smart Cities Mission on June 25, 2015. By focusing on the social, economic, physical, and institutional foundations of the city, the mission seeks to promote economic growth and enhance quality of life. The objective is to produce replicable models that act as role models for other aspirational cities, with a focus on inclusive and sustainable development. A total of 100 communities were chosen to be transformed into “smart cities” after a two-stage process.
As population and urbanisation keep increasing, several communities will look to cutting-edge networks and contemporary technologies to help them manage resource limitations. AI can prove transformative in India, which has the second-largest population and the largest economy that is developing at the quickest rate in the world.
