  • BH: CSB to streamline procedures in government agencies

    The Civil Service Bureau had requested the approval of 14 government agencies to provide a number of services to re-engineer and streamline procedures.

    CSB asked agencies to focus on services that contribute to the advancement of economic and investment progress in the Kingdom and services that contribute to raising the government apparatus’ efficiency that affect a large segment of citizens and residents.

  • BH: Deputy Premier Inaugurates the Housing Ministry's Website

    Deputy Premier and Head of the High Committee for Information and Communication Technology Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa inaugurated here today the Housing Ministry's Website, in the presence of Housing Minister Eng. Bassim bin Yaqoob Al hamar and officials from the Housing Ministry, the e-Government Authority and the Central Informatics and Communication Organisation (CICO).

    On the occasion, Shaikh Mohammed asserted that the new website is the 52nd one established by in ministries and state departments out of the government's keen desire to carry on its strategy, launched in 2007 to improve and broaden the basis of e-services for the aim of upgrading the quality of services provided for the citizens and residents.

  • BH: Deputy Premier opens International e-Learning Conference

    Deputy Premier and President of the Supreme Council for Education and Training Development HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa patronised at the University of Bahrain today the opening ceremony of the fifth International e-Learning Conference, the biggest scientific event to be hosted by the kingdom.

    HH Shaikh Mohammed expressed his delight at patronising the Fifth International Conference on e-Learning entitled: "Cognitively informed technology" that includes the announcement of the winners of the GCC Secretariat-General's awards for designing and developing e-courses.

  • BH: Deputy Premier patronises eGovernment Excellence Award ceremony

    Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology (SCICT) Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa patronized the eGovernment Excellence Award ceremony at the Gulf Hotel. The celebration was attended by the Shura Council Chairman, the Deputy Premiers, ministers and invitees.

    The Deputy Premier welcomed the guests and the participants, stressing the importance of continuity of the award which was launched in 2008 to reward and highlight the leading ICT initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain’s community. He said the award has been able in a short time to attract specialists and prompt innovation, creativity and competitiveness. He pointed out specificity of 2017 award which comprises seven categories and aims to optimize public services while reducing their cost, in line with the government’s trend to cut down expenditure.

  • BH: Deputy Premier receives e-Government Authority CEO

    Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications, HH Shaikh Mohammad bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, today received e-Government Authority CEO, Mohammad Ali Al-Qaed.

    Deputy Premier congratulated e-Government Authority CEO on the honour delivered by Amir of Kuwait, HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jabir Al-Sabah, on the e-Government Portal (Bahrain.bh) winning HH Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award in its 14th session recently held in Kuwait.

  • BH: Deputy premier receives Informatics, e-Government Authority CEO

    Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the CEO of the Informatics and e-Government Authority Mohammed Ali Al-Qaed.

    The deputy premier congratulated Al-Qaed on the issuance of a royal decree appointing him as CEO of the Informatics and e-Government Authority, and wished him every success.

  • BH: Deputy premier to patronise International e-Learning Conference

    Deputy Premier and President of the Supreme Council for Education and Training Development HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa will patronise the fifth International e-Learning Conference, the biggest scientific event to be hosted by the kingdom.

    Organised by the University of Bahrain (UoB)'s Zain e-Learning Centre, the three-day conference will kick-off on Sunday at 9:00 am and run until October 20, and will attract a group of international e-learning experts. Who will discuss the best means to develop e-learning through more than 100 research papers selected among 150.

  • BH: DP honours UN e-Gov. report compilers

    Deputy Prime Minister also Chairman of the High Communications and Information Technology Committee His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa on Wednesday received representatives of government ministries and directorates who had contributed in the compilation of the UN e-Government Readiness Report2014.

    His Highness presented recognition certifications to members of the committees and teams.

  • BH: e-Government 2017 performance reviewed

    His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Informatics and Telecommunications Technology High Committee, has presided over the committee meeting attended by Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and committee members.

    The committee reviewed the e-Government Strategic Performance Indices accomplishments in 2017 of more than 90% of its strategic goals, including the development of 40 online services to satisfy the needs of users, registered more than 75,000 user passwords which already exceeded the yearly specified target of 50,000 users.

  • BH: e-Government Authority's CEO discusses cooperation with Malaysian Ambassador

    e-Government Authority CEO, Mohammad Ali Al-Qaed, today received Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dato' Ahmad Shahizan Abd Samad, and discussed cooperation in the field of e-government and information technology.

    e-Government Authority's CEO praised the Malaysian Ambassador's efforts in promoting bilateral relations and the Malaysian expertise in the field of information technology and telecommunications.

  • BH: eGA a strategic partner of SMMF2015

    The eGovernment Authority (eGA)takes part as a strategic partner in the third edition of the Social Media Pioneers Forum (SMMF2015), under the patronage of the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, on January 28-29.

    The International Social Media Club (Bahrain-chapter) will organise the Forum themed "Social Media and youth" is expected to attract about 1000 college students.

  • BH: eGA marks National Days

    The eGovernment Authority (eGA) held a ceremony to mark Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne.

    eGA's CEO Mohammed Ali Al Qaed and a number of Directors and employees were present.

  • BH: EGA's CEO: 5,000 elderly citizens trained on EGA Service usage

    The E-Government Authority (EGA)'s CEO Mohammed Al-Qaed said that the Authority has completed training of about 5,000 elderly citizens on the use of e-government services. The Authority has also trained 13,000 citizens on how to deal with these services.

    Al-Qaed told Al-Watan newspaper that the Authority organized training course in association with the Bahrain Retirees Society aimed to train them free of charge on how to deal with e-government services. 450 elderly citizens graduated in the first batch of trainees. The total number of elderly trainees who have completed their training reached 5,000.

  • BH: eGovernment Authority Surpasses Global Satisfaction Index

    eGovernment Authority (eGA) Vice CEO Dr. Zakareya Ahmed Al-Khaja announced eGA’s adoption of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Customer Satisfaction Index (BHCSI) which was carried-out in collaboration with the University of Bahrain. He also revealed the results of the indicator and the study that was conducted in 2014, based on professionalism and transparency.

    The announcement was made during a press conference that was held on the second day of the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum 2015, which included the faculty of Information Technology College at the University of Bahrain - Head of Information Systems Department Dr. Jafla Al-Ammari, along with Dr. Hayat Al-Ali and Dr. Amal Al-Rayes; together with Dr. Al-Khaja.

  • BH: eGovernment contributes to BOC project

    The eGovernment has offered to assist Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in presenting a workshop to explain its streamlined communication project which provides various types of quality services for national sports federations as well as youth and sports centres in Bahrain.

    "This contribution will help the committee to implement its new initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, to replace all paper-based transactions with e-transactions as part of the committee’s new green policy," said the head of the Green Policy Implementation Committee, Mai Al Binkhalil.

  • BH: Evaluation of e-Governme nt Excellence Award projects completed

    e-Government Excellence Awards 2014 jury announced the completion of the evaluation process of the award’s participating projects.

    Excellence Award winners will be honoured by the Deputy Premier and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, during the official opening of the Bahrain International e-Government Forum, to be held under his patronage on April 21, 2014.

  • BH: Foreign Ministry introduces upgraded mobile application

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched the upgraded and entirely developed version of its smart phone application (Wejhaty), which includes multi-services provided by the ministry for users, Assistant Undersecretary of Human and Financial Resources and Information System, Khalil Y. Alkhayyat said.

    The Arabic and English services are part of the ministry's efforts to facilitate communication with the public and provide advanced quality services with emphasis on the leading role of Bahrain in the field of e-government services.

  • BH: Foreign Ministry website wins award

    The official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs www.mofa.gov.bh won the e-government’s Gold Shield and Certificate of Excellence for Interactive Innovation on the category of government bodies’ and official institutions’ websites for 2014.

    This came at the 5th Round of the E-government Excellence Awards, member of the Pan-Arab Excellence Awards Academy. The award is offered by the Dubai-based Arab Organisation for Social Responsibility and the Pan-Arab Web Awards Academy.

  • BH: Foreign Ministry, e-Government Portal launch a new service for students, travelers

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched, in collaboration with the eGovernment Authority, the (e-Register Service) for Bahrainis wishing to study or travel abroad. This service is launched on both: the Ministry of Foreign Affair’ website: www.mofa.gov.bh, and e-government portal: http://www.bahrain.bh.

    This service is designed in two sections. Section One is for students who wish to pursue their studies abroad. This service allows the student to fill in his personal and academic information and updated them electronically after entering the identification number designated to him when the registration procedure is completed.

  • BH: Government steps to achieve electronic integration lauded

    Minister of the Shura and Representatives Councils Affairs Ghanim bin Fadhel Al-Buainin lauded the executive steps taken by the government to achieve electronic integration, boost cooperation in the field of electronic connection and develop the e-government experience into a smart government that copes with the latest mobile technologies.
